The Martial Artist

The martial artist deflects ego and serves for others as well as them selves, they are unique.

The martial artist treats their bodies with respect yet attack it so it can temper the storm.

The martial artist neglects all shallow challenges as they know better and have been brought up in the mother and father arts of being, and being free from ones self and yet married to ones spirit.

They research other options and freestyle philosophies help them to cross train.

These humans are noble and wise with much learning to come their way, but they are not proud.

Above all they realise their strengths and weaknesses and this humble manner is greater than any trophy.

They wear the belt of completion and ambition.

I realise I am not like any other person because my birth right is that of a martial artist.

THE SILENT ONE

Bravery is shadowed as a result of bellowing from the caves below. People will search for you but only you will find yourself.

Where have you been? Planning to return all brand new with a sense of justice.

Where did you go? You're memories of that place are to strong for you to recall, sit still.

Are you coming back? They are waiting, good people for you to share life with. You don't feel ready just yet.

Hidden power keeps you buried, allowing just enough air for you to breath. You're tweaking it.

Now's not the right time to be 'unsilent' you have a few thing to tend to first.

It's dark down there, but at least you can see...

THE UNSEEN ONE

Friction causes more friction as your soul falls apart. Torn like skin from a chicken bone, you become your other side. You don't like what others have to say or offer and it's a waste of your acumltive memory to entertain such wastage. The feeling that holds you is one of power, you know more than they and can second guess the sly ones. You decide on your actions, you display a front as so to blend in. Loop holes form in the back of your clan chamber which cause you to remain hidden. You wish you were more brave in your approach to life. Your unseen one can dissolve like sugar deep into your being at any command. Yet resurfaces when you don't like it. Who is she, or he? Do you know them at all? They have friends too, like your friends, these are called Shadows. They relish in the winter months and study our private moments. Scrutinized disbelief embodies the prize wisdom that such force could fail to exist. It may be the only true friends we ever have...

PASSING THOUGHTS

FEB 06:

I summon up my strength, he's coming. He's trained and mean. He looks great,I say to myself. I wonder in the short seconds that I have, just before he launches his attacks...what on earth am I doing here? In this ring, in a Thai boxing gym. Then I remind myself of the up and coming fight I have. O, that must be it.

POW!

Should have blocked that punch, or was it an elbow? I move round I hear the bigger lads telling him to take it easy with me, that bothered me. Remain focused Emsley, he will take your head off. My legs feel cold in this October weather, but it's my birthday month. I feel fit and strong and I remind myself yet again of how much effort I spend keeping healthy.

THUD CRUD!

I side step and give the Russian lad a jab, cross roundhouse. Our gloves are marinated in each others sweat...so what. He makes me look skinny in comparison, but I battle on. Three minutes Duane, and you'll be out of there. Then I think of who I am, and that I'm really sparring myself. Just as a Scorpion will stand it's ground against larger adversary's, I begin my combinations. Enaud Yelsme is here!

With the three minutes over I know I lost the round, even the pats of respect I don't feel. I get changed and walk to my car very pleased that I conquered myself and my fears. And suffice to say that I went on to win my Kickboxing inter club.

STILL WATERS RUN DEEP...

I was placed into this life under the symbol of the Scorpion, I am the eight sign in the Zodiac. I'll clear this make believe view up here and now for the sceptics. I don't follow the planets and I don't go by everything I read. However, along the way I have noticed that certain star signs can be typical of what they are stated as. Now, whoever came to these conclusions I don't know. But it's safe to acknowledge that it stems from methodical times, geek and Latin. I was later to learn though, that there are three types of Scorpio.

Lizard: Is a nasty piece of work, sly cruel and the lowest crook.

Scorpion: Is pure, and travels an even plane.

Eagle: The most noble one who has found spiritual enlightenment, and rises from the ashes like the Phoenix. (My other creature)

Obviously I'm working hard to retain my place an an eagle. But I do have a dark side. I have Pluto which is the planet of mystery, death ,birth, sex and regeneration. And Mars which is the god of war.

POSITIVE TRAITS: Resourceful, caring, advisable, researcher, determined, passionate, hard working, resilient, patient, careful, planner, creative, imagionative, deep thinker, fair.

NEGATIVE TRAITS: Ruthless, cunning, private, shy, vindictive, vengeful, sensitive, views life as black and white, extreme, wreck less, over indulges, misunderstood, self fish, hot tempered.

I know this can be everyone, so I'm only writing what I know and have read. Some of it is true, the rest I'll keep to myself.

Taurus-leader of the earth signs, practical, earthy , patient, careful, stubborn, loving.

Capricorn-Good sense of humour enjoys activities like rambling etc, hard working

Virgo- Fussy about themselves and can hold a good argument, many footballers are Virgo's.

FIRE SIGNS:

Leo- leader of the fire signs, bold, artistic, generous, warm, fun, shy?

Aries- Impatient, risk taker, quick tempered, warm friend, fun.

Sagittarius- Sporty, fearless, comedian, writer, stubborn

AIR SIGNS:

Aquarius- Leader of the air signs, creative, friendly, individual, honest, comical, opinionated, intelligent.

Gemini- Clever, communicator, puzzle solver, kind, duel taskful, laid back, sensitive temper

Libra- Romantic, creative, fun loving, indecisive, unreliable.

WATER SIGNS:

Scorpio- Leader of the water signs, has Pluto n Mars as planets...

Pieces- Dreamy, imaginative, subtle

Cancer- Homemaker, caring, sensitive, strong.

It's down to you to decide if you want to believe. I know that I only have to look at a Scorpions behaviour to know, that I am peaceful and private until disturbed...

HIDDEN DEPTHS... I AM I

I'm so very deep. I can think on a higher degree, like the mountains grazing the sky. I can think low, like the mist settling into the canyon. I am I. I can absorb my surroundings like a shape shifter, and go with the flow. I can relate to people, and then they could lose me. They can't relate back. Who is me really? Who is you? We are they. I am I. I can deflect resistance, and oppose force. I have sides to my personality that, like many, you keep hidden. Some will notice, others won't. It's an internal power that lies within us all, only some will not know it. I know it. I become the best at me. I can be like a bubbling volcano, or just a peaceful mountains view. I am Martial. I may miss things by looking in, but that's better than missing me by looking out. Be one, be yourself.

WORDS

There are many ways to describe what you mean to say, or want to say - WORDS.
Words are more powerful than any other method, mentally. I'm going to make it a habit to use a better choice of words when conducting myself. I want to do this to be more respectful in conversation, by addressing people politely in conduct. This will I hope, display a more well conducted individual on my part. I will be taking an interest in my approach to others. I will try not to become snobbish, or change. I just feel that if I can clean up and organise my English that 'little bit' more, then I, myself will become that 'little bit' more.
