Lost Little Boy

I used to watch this lost little boy grow through school carrying fear and lacking confidence.
He made friends well but always felt alone..he was never popular and felt almost invisible to the naked eye.
He dreaded going home from school every day to a drunken mother who was the victim of her own energies..through the violence he'd learned to hate her, fear her..but love her.
I witnessed this lost little boy with a pale complexion rise from his own darkness and educate his own creativity.
He would write his own stories after his homework and relish in the reward of what his own mind was capable of.
I seen him mould his skinny body into one that was more useful and could be used to defend his self and loved ones.
I felt he was finding his way, his spirituality in a deeper void of the one he felt trapped in.
I stood back along the way as he found his own courage, and surrounded by good people learned how to control his darkness and turn the energy into positiveness as easy as he was built for negativeness.
Others did not see..'him' they failed to detect the powerful force that this simple not so flashy boy possessed.
As he grew stronger he lost a lot of his fears, his torture.
I could feel his pain of losing a parent but gaining a whole universe surrounding the other.
He has become a man now and although he still has demons, he knows that it's a part of being human and being alive.
Now he lives to serve others, to be the best for himself and the world.
He knows himself better than anything, yet he is still a mystery to himself.
I feel at ease knowing he has found a steady place.
That lost little boy still visits me from time to time...

Growth

We never stop growing. Even as adults we grow to learn a little more about ourselves and life. Just like a flower that needs care and attention that comes in the form of food, water, pollination, we are no different.
How can we maximize our growth potential?
I try to face things that frighten me, so that I can handle my fears. I try to eat moderately well, and don't use drugs or drink heavily. (drink free for 4 months)
I invest in my self by reading inspiring books and watching educational programmes.
I try if I can to avoid negative people and places that would have the reverse effect on the above.
It's really difficult, but I can feel the growth.
I know I'll get there in the end.

The worker at midnight

He glares into his PC monitor, eyes red and tired. He gives his all and fights through the lethargy that is pulling his last reserves of the imagination from him. He needs to do this, for a better future...because it's who he is. It's tough and sometimes the ideas are distantly extinct like a fossils slowly unearthing deep inside the writers mind. He views things as a people watcher, logging and always observing. He is silently nosey and at the same time respectful, he loses his ego to become a transport sponge so to carry his characters to his novel, or story. He writes in his blog questioning if anyone really cars or reads his work. It's good for him, self therapy. The journal keeps him venting and learning, past the iron gates of dimness he searches for a brighter tomorrow and survives outside of time and people. He walks among them but never really feels with them. Why is this? He is lazy but hard working. Another cup of tea passes his dry lips and tastes like luxury, caffeine fuels his journey into the midnight hour. His fingers begin to ache as he types what shoots through his mind, thoughts from anywhere speeding past like a runaway train. It's easier to write in the dark.
I can pluck the concepts more easily now, I check the time on the bottom right hand corner of my monitor.
it's 12:00.

CAN YOU TOUCH THE SUN?

So you are in that place, its cold and uncomfortable. This draws you to indulge in your comforts. That's okay though, as long as you don't quit. You have to realise how far you have come in your life, the little things along the way. You get a sense of yourself, you are somebody, people like you. You might not gel with everyone, but that's just life. You tread forwards reminding yourself to hold your head high, you can do it. Nettles and branches try to hold you back, trying to keep you where you are. If you make that choice to stay put you have lost, and the weaker you has won. Then you'll always be weak. But your not weak your strong. You push the obstacles away from your face, creating a path for you to follow. You can't wait to get through this nightmare, so you can be free. The slippery surface underfoot inclines, again testing your determination. But you are to ambitious, to tough. You visualise your goal, you remain focused. Side line emotions will trick you to wonder off course, if you let them. They are not your friend just the darker side of you. You concentrate and think of all the people that love you, who you want to make proud. That's what got you here in the first place, trying to please others? Now you forge on for you, you scream at yourself for treating you with neglect. You make best friends with yourself for ever. You can taste inner peace, and it feels lovely. Well done, you made it and there's no turning back.

MY FORMER SELF

A Snake will shed it's skin to continue it's quest in life.
I have shed many skins, and I'm sure I have more to go.
